Wildflowers in bed of rocks
Gentle moonlight can’t force her way
Through the canopy of leaves
The forest floor stays more hidden
Than visible in moonlit nights.
We can hear the soft footsteps
On the dry leaves
But never get a glimpse
Of creatures walking by in stealth.
Dreamers dream of beautiful beings
Fantasists fantasy mythical creatures
A fairy or a werewolf
They unleash their fantasies.
The realist wonders who is there?
A predator or a passerby?
How safe will it be for a man
To leave safe grounds and enter?
