Wildflowers in bed of rocks

What happens when a bunch of kids
Enter a silent, peaceful temple?
Humble abode of Gods transforms
Into a boisterous playground!

They scream, laugh and play
Chants, hymns wash away
Meditations are shattered
Serene lake becomes bubbling brook.

Serious souls get miffed,
Peaceful ones ignore them,
Religious ones try to change the
Atmosphere back to old.

What should be done to them?
Shall we let them be or show door?
What about the worship?
Can they peacefully coexist?

  1. I guess there is a time and place for everything, including childish play. As hard as it might be to meditate in that atmosphere, I like the image of the kids shouting and laughing in the silent temple.
