He gently placed the bunch of wildflowers on his grave with a heavy heart.
“Goodbye my friend.” two drops of tears ignored his heart’s threat of dire consequences and rolled down his sun burnt cheeks as he muttered his farewell.
The gravestone said, “Here lays Jay in eternal sleep under the blue canopy after spending almost all of his adult life under it. Not by situation but by choice- a soul that was as free as a wild horse galloping in God’s meadow.”
He hoped that someone will bury his body when he is gone like he buried his best friend’s body. The horse galloped away towards the setting sun leaving behind the grave beside the raging river.
